Alexander Joseph Rubin
MUSICIAN, CLOWN, MIXED MEDIA ARTIST
I am currently headed into my third year as a trumpet performance major with a focus on Arranging and American Roots music at Berklee College of Music in Boston.
I have been playing trumpet now since 2014 and have been leading bands since 2016.
I have a background in both European Classical Tradition and Jazz performance however have loved experimenting with all forms of artistic expression. I enjoy mixed medium sculpture, ironwork (I built my own forge from scratch), experimenting with textiles and sewing, costume design, acting (I have experience in film, print modeling and television) and clown work. I am skilled at juggling and unicycling and use my clown skills for entertaining folks of all ages (babies to seniors!) While my main instrument is trumpet I also play other horns (euphonium, bugle, etc.) sing and play some piano and guitar. Highlight of my performance resume can be found on this link.
